Trans Awareness Week is observed every year from November 13 to the 19th. It is a week that celebrates several of our core values, including freedom of sexual expression, inclusivity, and authenticity. This year, our very own Brand Ambassador, Natassia Dreams is here to kick things off! With a long list of extensive accomplishments within and outside the adult industry, she is taking the lead on Model Spotlights this week. As a member of and advocate for the Black transgender community, Natassia celebrates individuality and self-expression by sharing a deeply intimate connection with fans from around the globe and will be highlighting 3 rising stars in the Trans community. What do you want folks to know about the Trans community?
The Trans community has seen huge growth in searches on PH and is the most under publicized on mainstream platforms. Hardly any agents want to represent us and some of us have been doing this for decades!
Why is it important for you to celebrate and elevate transgender models in these upcoming features?
As I mentioned, we are one of the most searched for and yet many of us in the community do not get the recognition and respect we deserve. It is time to make space and celebrate the amazing transgender community we have in the industry.
Tell us about some of your biggest accomplishments as a Trans woman both in and out of porn.
I think some of my biggest accomplishments have been opening the doors and paving the way for all these younger Models to thrive. Also being a Brand Ambassador for Pornhub, Director for Evil Angel, and being able to shoot for decades. Outside of porn, my mainstream modeling career is killing it with international campaigns like Calvin Klein for Pride and Balmain x Beyonce Renaissance Couture, where I got to shoot next to Queen Bee and come out in Vogue France. Also, the exhilarating fashion film I did with Shayne Oliver and attending the Business of Fashion Gala in Paris (which is like the Oscars of fashion) with him. The list goes on and I am so honored and grateful for all these opportunities.
What advice do you have for other transgender Models who are new to the adult industry?
Stay true to yourself, know your worth and do not settle for less! Do not do anything you do not want to do. Also, remember those who were here before you who made it possible for you to thrive!
“Trans” is ranked in the Top 35 searched terms on Pornhub and is growing every day – what do you think of this growth?
I am so happy that people are finally searching for what they really like and luckily there is a place for it!
What are misconceptions that people tend to have about you as a transgender woman in the industry, and how do you try to change that?
I feel that people have the misconception that we are not human. People disregard our feelings, emotions, and decisions because we are Trans, but we feel and suffer the exact same as anyone else! Perhaps even more so because we have been dealing with an internal war within ourselves already, and most of us are very sensitive despite the strong front we put up.
What is the secret to your glowing skin and rocking body? Drop the self-care routine please!
To be honest I gave up alcohol over a year ago. I am dedicated to my Lagree Method Pilates along with circuit or HIIT training, followed by heat and cold therapy! I drink plenty of water and eat healthy and prioritize rest! It also helps that it is in my genetics a bit!
What’s next for Natassia and her Dreams? What projects are keeping you inspired to advocate for the transgender community?
I hope to continue opening doors and breaking boundaries in the industry, making space for more black Trans Models. I love directing now and being able to share the expertise I have learned over the years. Also providing safe sets with comfortable talent doing what they want to do!
What do you hope to achieve by helping and mentoring fellow transgender models?
I would love to help them reach their fullest potential in whatever way possible!
